OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
Sweepstakes begins November 1, 2011 at 12:00:01 a.m. CDT and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CST on December 24, 2011 (the "Sweepstakes Entry Period").

1. TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Entry Period, visit www.mnbrighterideas.com and follow the online instructions to enter for a chance to win. You will be required to provide the name of the participating Great River Energy cooperative you are a customer of. You must register by 11:59:59 p.m. CDT on December 24, 2011 to be eligible for the sweepstakes drawing. Limit of ten (10) entries per person/email address. Entrants may not enter with multiple email addresses nor may entrants use any other device or artifice to enter multiple times or as multiple entrants more than the number of times authorized herein. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple email addresses under multiple identities or uses any device or artifice to enter more than the number of times authorized herein will be disqualified and forfeits any and all prizes won, in Sponsor's discretion.
2. GIVEAWAY ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the State of Minnesota and Wisconsin who are age 18 or older at the time of entry and who are customers of one of the participating member cooperatives of Great River Energy as of November 1, 2011. The participating member cooperatives are as follows: Agralite Electric Cooperative, Arrowhead Electric Cooperative, Inc., Connexus Energy, Cooperative Light & Power, Dakota Electric Association, East Central Energy, Itasca-Mantrap Cooperative Electrical Association, Kandiyohi Power Cooperative, Lake Country Power, Lake Region Electric Cooperative, Meeker Cooperative, Mille Lacs Energy Cooperative, Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative, Nobles Cooperative Electric, North Itasca Electric Cooperative, Runestone Electric Association, Stearns Electric Association, Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric, Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative, Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association. Employees (and their immediate family and household members) of Great River Energy ("Sponsor"), its participating member cooperatives, and their respective partners, parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. The Sweepstakes is governed by all applicable federal, state and local laws. Void outside of Minnesota, Wisconsin and wherever restricted or prohibited by law. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and Sponsor's independent representative, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
3. RANDOM DRAWINGS: One (1) potential Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period by an independent representative of the Sponsor, whose decisions are final in all respects. Drawing will be conducted on or about December 24, 2011. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depends upon the total number of eligible entries received.
4. PRIZE: The one (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a $500.00 credit towards their bill for electric service from their member cooperative. The credit will be applied to the winner's first monthly bill promulgated after notification. If the bill is less than $500, the difference between the amount of the bill and $500.00 will be applied towards the winner's subsequent monthly bill(s) until $500.00 has been credited. If the member cooperative is unable to provide a credit toward the customer's account for any reason, a gift card will be awarded for the amount of the prize or any portion thereof (subject to restrictions, terms and conditions as set by gift card issuer), in Sponsor's sole discretion. Any gift card awarded is at the sole discretion of the participating member cooperative. All decisions related to the Prize are subject to Sponsor approval. No transfer, cash redemption or substitution of a prize will be permitted (except at the discretion of Sponsor due to prize availability).
5. NOTIFICATION: Potential prize winner will be notified by mail or e-mail or telephone. It is each entrant's sole responsibility to notify Sponsors if he/she changes his/her contact information. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of entrants.
6. WINNERS INSTRUCTIONS: Potential winner may be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release and return it to the Sponsor's independent representative within ten (10) days of issuance. Failure to return all required documents properly completed and executed, or the return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable, and/or non-compliance with any portion of these Official Rules (including all eligibility requirements) may result in the potential winner being disqualified, the prize being forfeited, and an alternate potential winner being selected. By accepting prize, winner agrees to the use by Sponsor and its designees of his/her name, photo and/or likeness in any advertising and/or promotion activities related to this Sweepstakes in any and all media now or hereafter known without further compensation, consideration, right of review or consent, except where prohibited by law. All local, state and federal taxes on prizes, and other expenses not explicitly stated herein, are the sole responsibility of the individual winners.
7. GENERAL: By entering, entrants agree (a) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its member cooperatives, and their respective partners, parents, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any and all claims, actions, and/or liability for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the Sweepstakes, and/or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize awarded, or any related activities; (b) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys' fees and court costs. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, delayed, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, undelivered, late, garbled or corrupted entries, or any inaccurate or incorrect entry information, technical, computer, printing, human or other error of any kind relating to or in connection with this Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for phone, electrical, network, computer, transmission, server hardware or software program malfunctions, failures or difficulties, including, without limitation, delay in and/or inability to access the Web Site or any other web site associated with the Sweepstakes. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the game. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor will randomly award the prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to cancellation. Should multiple users of the same e-mail account enter the Sweepstakes and a dispute thereafter arise regarding the identity of the entrant, the authorized account holder of said e-mail account at the time of entry will be considered the entrant. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. By entering, entrants agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant's rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Minnesota without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
8.
